Obituary of Amy Dull

Amy Dull, 34, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Visitation will be held from 2 pm – 6 pm, on Friday January 12, 2024, at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City.  There will be a time to share stories and memories of Amy at 5 pm on Friday.  

Amy Dull, age 34, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Public visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2024, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, 2720 Muscatine Avenue, Iowa City, Iowa. There will be a time to share stories and memories of Amy at 5 pm on Friday.  

Amy Catherine Dull was born March 7, 1989, in Iowa City, Iowa. She loved the outdoors and was particularly fond of camping and swimming. She always had to be the first one in the pool every year when the cover came off. Amy also enjoyed live music and went to live shows for just about any genre you could imagine. Although Amy was not an athlete she loved sports especially The Cardinals, Forty Niners and much to the disbelieve of her father and brothers The Michigan Wolverines. Amy was a ray of sunshine who never met a stranger. She was known for legendary hugs and always seeing the good in people. Amy was an accomplished artist having one of her works being displayed in the White House.

Amy’s unconditional love for Gage, friends and family only grew with the arrival of her son George Emmitt in 2020.

Amy is survived by her son Geroge and his father Joe Johnston; Gage Netolicky,parents, Mark (Tamie Treiber) Dull and Gail Dull; siblings, Sam (Heather) Dull, Max (Neal) Dull, Tracy (Katie) Treiber, Travis (Mackenzie) Treiber, Trevor Treiber, Shannon (Greg) Stokes; numerous aunts,  uncles and cousins to numerous to name.

She was preceded in death by her dear friends Chris Borders and Jesse Greer.
