Samantha Lee Kalkbrenner was 15 years old. She peacefully departed from this world on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Samantha graced this world with her presence on April 24, 2008, in Oceanside, CA, and was the beloved daughter of Carl Lee and Nenita (San Martin) Kalkbrenner, residents of Dravosburg. Samantha, a sophomore and spirited cheerleader at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, radiated enthusiasm and passion in all she pursued.

Samantha Lee was an active member of St. Thomas The Apostle Parish- St. Therese Church in Munhall, where her dedication shone as an Altar Server and her vibrant spirit lit up the Youth Group.

She also maintained a connection with St. Agnes Church and attended St. Therese School. Her charitable nature led her to volunteer at the Appalachia Work Camp and the thrilling Portals of Fear Haunted School, and she found immense joy in dancing at the Steel City Academy of Dance.

Among Samantha’s cherished moments, her mother’s culinary creations held a special place in her heart, as her mother was her favorite home cook chef. Samantha’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Samantha Lee Kalkbrenner is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Carl Lee and Nenita (San Martin) Kalkbrenner, her brothers, Carl “Baby Boy” Kalkbrenner and Nic Kalkbrenner, and her grandmothers, Mary Kalkbrenner and Georgette Bemesderfer.

She also leaves behind her devoted Godparents, Mike and Roena Joe, as well as Lalaine and Jeff Tanner. Samantha is remembered by her aunts Laura Tkac, Shari Segady, and Michelle Segady, and her uncle Ernie (Meri) Segady.

She held a special bond with her God-Sister, Kaitlyn Joe, and her cousins, including Amanda (Beau) Balco and their daughter, Remi, Danielle LaRue and her children, Torianna, Sedona, and Joshua, Tyler LaRue, James LaRue, Donny (Julie) LaRue, Travis (Carol) Haberjak, Devin Cromer, Kayla Segady, Dan Pfeffer, and Lisa Zirngibl and her children, Austin and Alysa.

Samantha also had an extended family, including her adopted grandparents, Jim and Suzanne Bevan, her boyfriend, Tyler Sapida, and his family, and her closest friends, Alyssa Bevan, Delena Galiyas, and Hannah Oleyar. She had a special connection with Donna Piontka, her favorite lunch lady.
