Who was Charlie Rock LD? Death of Terror Squad original confirmed by Cuban Link
Cuban Link, an original member of hip hop collective Terror Squad, has confirmed the death of Charlie Rock LD, also a founding member.
Terror Squad was a hip hop collective that rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their success made a household name of Fat Joe, real name Joseph Cartagena, who is responsible for hits such as What’s Luv and All The Way Up. DJ Khaled also rose to fame associated with Terror Squad.
But now the group has lost one of their own, as reports emerge that Charlie Rock LD has died.
Who was Charlie Rock LD?
Charlie Rock LD was an early affiliate of Terror Squad, but a jail sentence put Charlie behind bars as the hip hop group rose to fame.
At 18 years old, Charlie received a 10-20 year sentence “for not rattin on my homie,” as he explains on his YouTube profile. He also claims that he got into a prison “shank fight defending Fat Joe,” a Terror Squad member.
Since leaving prison, Charlie Rock LD “reinvented” himself, as explained on his YouTube account, becoming a life coach. He went on to become a youth mentor and motivational speaker, as well as the host of the Reppin’ Da Real podcast where Charlie delved into the world of hip hop culture alongside his life story.
Fans pay tribute to Charlie Rock LD as news of death breaks
On Saturday, May 6, Terror Squad member Cuban Link, real name Felix Delgado, confirmed that Charlie Rock LD had died.
“RIP to a Bronx legend,” one supporter tweeted in light of the sad news.
“This really breaks my heart. He was such a good person,” a friend wrote.
As of yet, no exact cause of death has been announced. However, some reports allege Charlie Rock LD suffered a heart attack.

Which Terror Squad members have died?
Tragically, Charlie Rock LD is not the only affiliate of music collective Terror Squad to have died. Big Pun, real name Christopher Rios, died at the age of 28 after suffering a heart attack. Big Pun passed away on February 7, 2000 in New York City.
DJ Khaled is not dead, despite what a death hoax from last month might lead you to believe.
The rest of Terror Squad is still alive and well, having disbanded over a decade ago. Surviving members include Fat Joe, Tony Sunshine, Cuban Link, Armageddon, DJ Khaled, Remy Ma, Cool & Dre, Prospect, Triple Seis, and 5ive Mics.
